TRADITIONS
Do
you know that, before PHYLLOXERA infection of vines, AUVERGNE vineyards were
the largest in France. Today, they are spread on 26 parishes
yet.
Thanks to the flavour of the earth and the work of
wine makers, our vintage wines, even if they are not very known, are
excellent. They are ripening with love on the slopes facing the Limagne
plain : BOUDES, CHÂTEAUGAY, CORENT, CHANTURGUE,
MADARGUE...
In the last century, families of RIOM, the
old AUVERGNE's capital (20 000 inhabitants today) cultivated vines
and fruit trees, near the town, in their "second home", often
simple vineyard huts. Families spent spring and summer sundays
there : fathers were looking after vines and trees, helped by their
friends, sometimes, drank some wine together . Ladies were chattering warmly
in the shade. The neighbourhood of MARSAT, TOULON district and
PETITE PROVENCE in RIOM, like the surrounding wine makers villages
of ST BONNET, MENETROL, CHATEAUGAY, are witnesses to these
riches.
On these traditional lands, today really in the town and suburbs, Martine and Claude LIEBERMANN have modernised one old VINEYARD HUT to welcome you, to offer to you agreeable holidays, tastng vines, fruit, all local products, walking ou cycling in the mountains of the "chaîne de PUYS".
HAVE GOOD TIME AMONG OUR TRADITIONS OF GOOD LIVING, GOOD EATING AND GOOD DRINKING.
